Base Salary

$175k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain security platforms, services, APIs, automation, and internal tooling protecting organizational data.
  • Develop data discovery, classification, governance, access control, monitoring, and protection capabilities.
  • Build and mature CASB, DLP, DSPM, SSPM, insider risk, and data access governance capabilities.
  • Build and tune DLP controls across cloud, operating system, and decentralized data environments.
  • Use LLMs, agentic AI, and automation to streamline DLP workflows and expand data protection coverage.
  • Implement security controls across SaaS applications, collaboration platforms, endpoints, business-critical services, data warehouses, AI-enabled systems, and cloud-native environments.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling while promoting secure-by-design principles.
  • Partner with IT, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, and business teams to enable productivity while maintaining data protection.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and adopt solutions that provide measurable security or operational value.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering, Data Security, SaaS Security, or related cybersecurity roles.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a similar field.
  • Experience building production-grade security tools, automation, platforms, and internal solutions.
  • Experience with insider threat and data protection technologies including SIEM, UBA, DSPM, SSPM, DLP, browser protection, and endpoint detection.
  • Strong understanding of data classification, data governance, access controls, encryption, key management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience securing SaaS platforms, cloud environments, endpoints, collaboration systems, and modern data platforms.
  • Experience using AI to improve data protection, investigations, classification, and security workflows.
  • Experience securing Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar modern data platforms is preferred.
  • Understanding of AI/LLM data protection risks, data leakage prevention, and AI governance is preferred.
  • Experience building internal security products, platforms, and developer-focused security tooling is preferred.
  • CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
