Responsibilities
- Design and build mission-execution infrastructure that converts planned missions into reliable, real-time behavior across fleets of autonomous systems.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs for mission guidance, orchestration, agent communication, and execution.
- Establish and maintain standards for testing, code reviews, observability, release discipline, and overall software quality.
- Write production-grade C++ and Python for real-time and resource-constrained environments.
- Partner with mission-planning, simulation, and product teams to integrate, test, and deploy algorithms in the field.
- Analyze logs and telemetry from tests and live operations to identify failure modes and drive systemic fixes.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong C++ and Python programming skills with fundamentals in system design, concurrency, testing, and debugging.
- Experience building and shipping production software, ideally involving distributed or real-time systems.
- Experience in robotics, embedded software, video game development, aerospace, defense, or simulation frameworks is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, rigor, ownership, and commitment to operational excellence.
