Responsibilities

  • Own major surfaces of the Next.js application, including search, scheduling, provider profiles, and checkout.
  • Build fast, accessible, production-grade web applications with polished user interactions.
  • Make frontend architecture decisions involving component patterns, state management, data fetching, performance, and testing.
  • Collaborate closely with design to refine interactions and visual details.
  • Trace bugs and build features end-to-end across the frontend and Rails backend when needed.
  • Write product requirements documents, use SQL to understand feature performance, and own QA.
  • Help address healthcare complexities such as EHR integrations and revenue cycle management.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building production web applications with React.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React patterns, including server components, hooks, and data fetching.
  • Experience with Next.js or a similar framework, including routing, SSR/SSG, API routes, and caching.
  • Strong attention to UI quality and visual detail.
  • Experience with frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Comfort working with RESTful APIs and understanding backend data models.
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and Postgres is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with design, operations, and clinical stakeholders and work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

  • In-office work is required at least 3 days per week, ideally 4 or 5.
