Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable code following best practices and architectural standards.
- Write solution designs for new features and participate in code reviews with technical leads.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to support code quality and system reliability.
- Participate in client workshops and requirements-analysis sessions.
- Optimize existing functionality to improve performance and user experience.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and areas of expertise.
- Collaborate with team leads, product owners, business analysts, and fellow developers in an agile environment.
- Document code and technical solutions and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least five years of proven experience in software development or a related engineering role.
- Strong programming knowledge in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Solid understanding of database technologies and SQL.
- Experience with Git or a similar version-control system.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented code and design thoughtful solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in agile environments and commitment to quality assurance and testing practices.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Financial-services or treasury-domain experience, knowledge of FIX, SWIFT MT, or ISO 20022, and continuous integration and continuous deployment experience are preferred.
- Additional programming languages or frameworks, multilingual capabilities, and a record of delivering projects on time and within scope are preferred.
