Base Salary

$145k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, responsive, accessible, and high-performance UI architectures using React, TypeScript, and modern front-end patterns.
  • Build and maintain full-stack applications integrating React front ends, .NET backend services, Python, and SQL/NoSQL data stores.
  • Translate business and user requirements into technical solutions in partnership with product owners, designers, architects, and stakeholders.
  • Establish application architecture standards covering UI components, state management, API integration, and data access.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployments, and environment consistency.
  • Design data schemas, queries, and access patterns that support application integrity, performance, and reliability.
  • Lead a small engineering team through technical direction, hands-on guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.
  • Drive adoption of engineering standards for UI development, backend services, data access, security, compliance, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design guidelines, coding standards, and operational playbooks.
  • Evaluate and adopt tools, frameworks, and patterns that improve developer productivity, observability, application performance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on enterprise-scale web applications and recent hands-on leadership in React front-end development.
  • Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and contemporary front-end frameworks, patterns, and tooling.
  • Experience with React server-side rendering concepts, including Next.js and Node.js, and with SSR-based React applications integrated with backend services.
  • Experience building user interfaces with Microsoft Power Pages.
  • Strong experience designing backend services with .NET, including API design, integration patterns, security, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, queries, and integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-native application development, deployments, integrations, and production operations.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong application architecture, technical leadership, mentoring, design review, and code review skills.
  • Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects while balancing hands-on development and leadership responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Financial services experience, particularly in asset management, institutional funds, or mutual funds, is preferred.
  • Microsoft or cloud-related certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred but not required.

  • Annual base salary range of $145,000 to $200,000.
