Responsibilities
- Build, test, debug, document, and deploy new and existing applications using modern coding practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Collaborate with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to define requirements, technical designs, and feature stories.
- Write unit, integration, and functional automation tests and research and resolve issues identified by quality assurance or product support.
- Work on complex technical problems involving distributed systems, application architecture, and business-impacting solutions.
- Coach team members, provide technical guidance, and promote learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or experience in related fields.
- Ability to coach others with minimal guidance and leverage diverse ideas and perspectives.
- Advanced experience with several relevant programming languages, frameworks, distributed systems, object-oriented programming, design patterns, data stores, APIs, testing, DevOps, and AWS services.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, business judgment, and continuous-learning skills.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS development architecture patterns, Domain-Driven Design, data model design, design thinking, and financial or insurance industry experience.
- Salesforce platform experience is preferred but not required.
