Senior Software Engineer (Core Services) - Costa Rica

Responsibilities
- Design and implement core platform services in Kotlin.
- Solve integration challenges between platform software and virtualization infrastructure.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions.
- Own features and components end-to-end, ensuring production quality.
- Support other engineering teams with Core Services APIs.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- 5+ years of experience in backend services and platform-level software.
- Proficient in Kotlin or a closely related JVM language.
- Comfortable working at the systems level with infrastructure and networking.
- Experience with VMware or hypervisor technologies is a plus.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Strong API design sensibility and experience with communication patterns.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex problems.
- Effective communicator with a focus on technical tradeoffs.
