Base Salary
$116k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other engineers to identify and correct issues in Firefox.
- Write high-quality, performant, open-source, standards-compliant code.
- Develop layout, graphics, user-interaction techniques, algorithms, and tools to improve Firefox rendering quality and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and long-term planning.
- Triage and test bugs, investigate root causes, and explore potential solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a similar field.
- Experience developing applications in C, C++, and/or Rust.
- Strong debugging and optimization skills in a multithreaded environment.
- Experience with memory and performance optimization tools.
- A proven record of completing projects spanning several months.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and work effectively in a large codebase.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects and/or developing web browsers is beneficial.
