Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship scalable and resilient distributed systems for cloud analytics platforms and data pipelines.
- Build cloud-based applications integrating open-source software with Apple’s internal ecosystem.
- Develop new platform components and features from concept through release.
- Work with internal customers to understand requirements and improve platform workflows and user experience.
- Tune and debug code, support production applications, and assist application end users.
- Develop large-scale compute, database, ETL, queue, notification, and distributed data application solutions.
- Create optimized SQL, procedures, and semantic processes for distributed data applications.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building enterprise-level applications on large-scale distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and cloud implementation using databases such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Cloudera.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Scala, or Java.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing cloud applications involving large-scale compute services, database services, APIs, ETL, queues, and notification services.
- Experience developing highly optimized SQL, procedures, and semantic processes for distributed data applications.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake, Spark, Kubernetes, Java, Kafka, Apache Iceberg, data lakehouse architecture, Apache Doris, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred experience with Streamlit, Superset, Tableau, Business Objects, Looker, data insights and KPIs, and basic ML models for anomaly detection, forecasting, or generative AI.
