Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems.
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features and systems, including architecture and design decisions.
- Write production-ready, testable code across services and platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Software Engineers and Software Engineers 2.
- Lead code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and influence technical direction with architects and engineering leaders.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Drive improvements in code quality, testing, automation, DevOps practices, system reliability, and performance.
- Develop AI-enabled applications, services, and platform capabilities.
- Design and enhance developer productivity tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, DevOps, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Own significant components or services and drive modernization, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable, production-grade systems.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML or GenAI-based solutions and adoption of AI coding tools.
- Preferred knowledge of microservices architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
- Preferred exposure to Developer Experience tooling, platform engineering, and regulated environments.
