Responsibilities
- Deliver billing changes in Practice Tools using React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Java or .NET.
- Roll out Xero Partner Hub across global regions and retire legacy HQ components.
- Own foundational infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting.
- Align authorization models with OAuth standards.
- Build AI and agentic systems and advance AI-assisted development workflows.
- Mentor junior colleagues and guide team members through new technical methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience developing web applications with React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Solid backend development experience, preferably with Java or .NET.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Spinnaker, monitoring, and alerting.
- Hands-on experience building AI and agentic systems beyond basic prompt engineering.
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues and guiding technical methodology adoption.
- A proactive, self-directed approach with ownership of complex technical challenges and interest in senior technical leadership.
