Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack People and Talent products using front-end, back-end, and data pipeline technologies.
- Design and build backend services, APIs, data structures, and integrations connecting hiring, HR, payroll, and performance data.
- Create intuitive front ends for leaders, managers, and the People team.
- Own features from scoping and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
- Maintain engineering foundations including repositories, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build reliable, observable, performant, maintainable systems and treat people data with appropriate access, retention, and audit controls.
- Collaborate with Talent and People product managers and help them become more technical.
Requirements
- Around 4 to 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills, ideally with TypeScript and/or React on the front end and Python and/or Node on the back end.
- Experience designing and building production-grade APIs, services, data structures, and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience managing repositories and pull requests, reviewing code, and building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work across the stack with a focus on maintainability, reliability, observability, performance, and product adoption.
- Bonus experience building with AI, including vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval systems.
- Bonus exposure to n8n, Temporal, or Airflow.
- Bonus experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, event-driven architecture, or HR, recruiting, payroll systems and their APIs.
- Strong self-awareness, empathy, coachability, teaching ability, simplification skills, and collaboration with non-technical teams.
