Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, test, and support secure and reliable software across web applications, integrations, and databases.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement durable fixes.
- Contribute to platform modernisation, architecture improvements, releases, and continuous delivery.
- Improve engineering efficiency through automation, tooling, code reviews, and testing.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing and supporting web applications.
- Strong PHP and Laravel development skills.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
- Front-end development experience with JavaScript, Vue.js or similar, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience building and consuming APIs.
- Knowledge of Git, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes legacy application modernisation, jQuery, Bootstrap, XML, SOAP, AJAX, cloud platforms, containerisation, DevOps practices, payments or regulated environments, and incident management or operational support.
