Responsibilities
- Define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding for complex information systems.
- Design, develop, modify, integrate, and modernize complex applications and application procedures.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts.
- Lead architecture, solution design, interoperability initiatives, and large complex technical projects from design through delivery.
- Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Serve as a recognized technical and functional subject matter expert and mentor to engineers.
- Communicate and translate complex technical concepts for technical teams and business personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least seven years of systems and programming experience.
- At least three years of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
- At least three years of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language used at BCBST.
- Proven information technology, analysis, design, and coding skills.
- Demonstrated success leading large and complex projects and recognized expertise in application systems analysis and programming.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical coworkers and manage multiple tasks reliably.
