Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Manage and scale containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters in AWS GovCloud.
- Automate infrastructure, configurations, and deployment pipelines using Terraform, Terragrunt, Docker, AWS, and Argo CD.
- Design and maintain air-gapped deployment methodologies for secure, compliant, isolated environments.
- Build and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems supporting platform availability and visibility.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed-system, platform, infrastructure, and network issues.
- Implement enterprise security standards and maintain compliance with federal requirements.
- Collaborate with development, security, and cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
- Write technical documentation, participate in architecture reviews, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining production cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, or platform engineering systems for the senior/P4 level.
- At least 3 years of experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Terragrunt.
- At least 3 years of experience managing continuous delivery pipelines using Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- At least 3 years of experience with modern scripting or programming languages, preferably Go or Python.
- At least 3 years of experience independently leading technical initiatives, troubleshooting distributed systems, and mentoring junior engineers.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph are required; an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is strongly preferred.
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS, ideally AWS GovCloud, is preferred.
- Experience with air-gapped deployment methodologies, isolated cloud architectures, and observability systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust architecture is preferred.
- DoD 8570/8140 compliance at IAT Level II or higher, such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CASP+, and a current Computing Environment credential are preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent military or practical engineering experience, is preferred.
Benefits
- Annual base salary ranges are $163,800-$245,800 for Reston, Virginia, and $148,200-$264,000 for additional U.S. locations, with possible bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
- Flexible work arrangement requiring at least 50% of each quarter in the office or field, with possible client-site work in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
