Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deliver, and test innovative Android applications for client projects.
- Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements while providing hands-on engineering leadership.
- Write code, guide architectural decisions, and promote software architecture and development best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, leadership, designers, product owners, technologists, and users to deliver solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Break down complex problems into technical solutions and proactively address delivery risks.
- Mentor and enable engineers to become more autonomous, capable, and effective.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
- 4+ years of experience leading Agile teams.
- Expert-level experience building production Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with consumer banking applications, including account management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with integrating APIs and third-party libraries.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for mobile applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include fraud management, KYC/AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, published Google Play Store applications, and experience using Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot for responsible AI-assisted development.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
