Base Salary
$100k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable full-stack features across frontend interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
- Develop polished user interfaces with strong UI and UX sensibility using React.
- Evaluate technical tradeoffs and consider business value and client impact.
- Own work from sprint planning and ticket refinement through implementation, peer review, and demos.
- Use AI coding assistants for coding, debugging, and research, and help identify valuable AI-powered product features.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver useful products.
- Participate in constructive code reviews and share knowledge with the engineering team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development on production systems.
- Strong React experience including component architecture, state management, and performance.
- Backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including production APIs and services.
- Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL on both sides of the wire.
- Production experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar tools.
- Comfort working in AWS or a comparable cloud environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Active daily use of AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
- Preferred: hands-on experience building AI-powered product features, mobile development, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with nonprofit or social-impact technology is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- Candidates must not require current or future employment sponsorship in the United States.
