Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, optimize, and enhance scalable Python services, automation frameworks, and software components.
- Lead Python development and automation delivery through planning, estimation, work allocation, dependency and risk management, and stakeholder reporting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, make team decisions, collaborate across multiple teams, and provide solutions to complex software problems.
- Define modular services, interfaces, data models, dependency boundaries, integration patterns, and architectural trade-offs.
- Apply approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and unit/integration testing, with human review for correctness, security, data handling, dependency risk, and performance.
- Integrate LLM APIs, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, and retrieval/vector-store integrations into tested AI-enabled automation.
- Evaluate AI response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional efforts, quality, and release readiness.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience with Python is specified in the additional requirements.
- Proficiency in Python and experience developing scalable software solutions using modern frameworks and tools are required.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code and familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines are required.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants, generated-code review, automated test validation, LLM APIs, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI-enabled automation is required.
- Knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, concurrency, scalability, security, testability, observability, and deployment trade-offs is required.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes, is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
