Base Salary

$187k - $246k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with banking and financial services customers and senior executives on strategic opportunities and Snowflake adoption.
  • Design end-to-end data- and AI-powered solution architectures, future-state blueprints, technical use-case presentations, and demo showcases.
  • Create repeatable enterprise architectures, persona journeys, system/application architectures, workshops, playbooks, and field-enablement content.
  • Advise on financial services use cases including fraud detection, credit risk modeling, regulatory reporting, customer 360, lending, payments, risk, compliance, and data lineage.
  • Provide structured customer and industry feedback to Snowflake product teams to help shape the product roadmap.
  • Engage financial services ecosystem partners to develop best practices, architectures, integrations, and demos.
  • Drive technical thought leadership through blogs, talks, webinars, conferences, RFP support, and industry marketing activities.
  • Support strategic stakeholder alignment and maintain consistency of vision across business units and geographies.
  • Travel to customer sites, industry events, and related events as required.
  • Follow Snowflake confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive customer data.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of architecture experience building, consulting to, or implementing technology for core banking or financial services organizations.
  • Expertise in financial services data topics and the major core-banking functional areas, including lending, payments, treasury, risk and compliance, and finance.
  • Ability to consultatively understand customer challenges and develop right-fit architectures using current data and AI technologies.
  • Broad experience with large-scale database or data warehouse technologies, ETL, analytics, and public cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of data science and machine learning concepts and financial services applications such as credit scoring, fraud detection, and AML or transaction monitoring.
  • Familiarity with core banking platforms, risk and compliance systems, actuarial tools, payment networks, CRMs, and third-party financial services data providers.
  • Understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance frameworks including Basel III/IV, DORA, IFRS 9/17, Solvency II, BCBS 239, AML/KYC, NAIC, and state DOI reporting.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with technical, executive, operational, risk, business, engineering, architecture, and regulatory audiences.
  • Experience working with senior executives and establishing credibility with senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, finance, actuarial science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python with hands-on experience required; Java, Scala, or other programming languages are a plus.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing architecture development experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
