Base Salary
$181k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reference architectures, implementation guides, and productionized customer use cases.
- Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects, migrations, and end-to-end design, development, deployment, and operationalization of data and AI applications.
- Architect, develop, deploy, operationalize, and document complex customer engagements as a technical lead.
- Integrate Databricks-based solutions with customer systems and provide hands-on implementation, training, and knowledge transfer.
- Facilitate technical workshops, discovery and design sessions, customer requirements gathering, project scoping, and effort estimation.
- Provide escalated support for customer operational issues and help resolve engagement-specific product and implementation issues with Engineering and Customer Support.
- Ensure Databricks best practices and quality-of-service standards are followed across projects.
- Mentor team members, customers, and partners and create reusable project artifacts.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics; alternate versions of the posting request 6+ or 9+ years.
- Proficiency with Python and/or Scala, including object-oriented and functional programming.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Strong or deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and familiarity with Spark runtime internals.
- Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures, including scalable cloud-native batch and streaming solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments and working knowledge of MLOps.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and working with clients and conflicts.
- Strong documentation, whiteboarding, workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and technical communication skills.
- Databricks Certification is preferred or listed as a desired qualification.
- Ability to travel to customers approximately 20% of the time.
