Responsibilities

Build and own core product features end-to-end, from data models and backend systems to user interfaces and conversational or agentic experiences.
Design and operate scalable production systems for agent orchestration, memory, tool execution, and autonomous multi-step workflows.
Develop real-time communication infrastructure supporting thousands of customer interactions.
Build observable, reliable enterprise-scale systems and own deployment pipelines, monitoring, and incident response.
Translate customer and operational problems into technical solutions and iterate with founders, customers, and go-to-market teams.
Establish engineering practices, architecture patterns, technical standards, and culture as the team grows.
Mentor and collaborate with engineers and contribute to hiring and building the engineering organization.

At least five years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ability to build and ship full-stack applications.
Strong fundamentals in backend systems, databases, APIs, and web applications.
Experience owning complex features or systems from design through deployment.
Experience building production systems at scale with attention to reliability and performance.
Ability to make sound technical tradeoffs between speed, robustness, quality, and maintainability.
Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with real-time communication systems, voice applications, telephony, AI/ML product development, agentic systems, or production LLM integrations is desirable.
Experience in logistics, operations, enterprise SaaS, early-stage startups, founding engineering, open source, or relevant side projects is desirable.

San Francisco in-person work is preferred.
