Responsibilities
- Build scalable, performant, and maintainable code for the storage layer of planet-scale databases.
- Participate in code reviews with attention to coding standards, diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Identify performance and scalability issues.
- Support live service operations through a rotational on-call schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience building and supporting production-grade distributed cloud services.
- Experience coding in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- A master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
