Responsibilities
- Build and enhance reliable, low-latency Java components such as messaging handlers and market data parsers.
- Design and implement features supporting trade execution workflows and production trading logic.
- Optimize high-throughput data ETL pipelines, persistent and in-memory caches, and SQL databases for real-time market data processing.
- Write unit and integration tests and automate testing for system correctness under live market conditions.
- Improve research and trading tools and production infrastructure, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Take ownership of projects from design through deployment while working independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or higher degree in computer science, machine learning, or another quantitative discipline, or current enrollment in a related undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong Java programming experience, production-level coding quality, and object-oriented design skills.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker.
- Experience working in Unix environments and proficiency with shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Git version control and continuous integration and delivery tools and the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to take ownership, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a small team.
- Availability to work full-time onsite in New York from January through April 2027.
