Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term architecture and governance strategy for a global, multi-region AWS cloud ecosystem.
- Architect enterprise observability standards using Datadog and OpenTelemetry across product engineering groups.
- Evolve CI/CD and internal developer platform capabilities using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, ACK, CUE, and related tooling.
- Lead Kubernetes cluster efficiency, autoscaling, secure multi-tenancy, service mesh, and immutable deployment initiatives.
- Embed automated security guardrails and compliance controls into infrastructure-as-code pipelines for healthcare regulations including HIPAA and SOC 2.
- Serve as the senior escalation authority for infrastructure failures, leading root-cause analysis, post-mortems, and resilience improvements.
- Direct cross-functional technical initiatives, establish enterprise engineering practices, influence technology roadmaps, and mentor senior and staff engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related IT-focused discipline.
- 8+ years of dedicated cloud engineering or DevOps experience.
- 13–15+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, cloud architecture, or DevOps platform engineering, including scaling enterprise cloud environments.
- Deep AWS expertise, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, advanced networking, scalability, and cloud cost optimization.
- Production-scale Kubernetes, Datadog, and Terraform or Terragrunt expertise.
- Expertise in Python, Go, or Bash for automation engines, internal CLI tools, and infrastructure platforms.
- Exceptional communication, executive advisory, code review, and architecture review skills.
- Strong interest in modernizing healthcare infrastructure and protecting patient data.
- Preferred qualifications include an Engineering bachelor’s degree or MCA, advanced AWS certifications, experience with Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Amazon Redshift, or Snowflake, and cloud-native open-source or technical thought-leadership contributions.
