Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define enterprise cloud-native architecture patterns and standards across AWS compute, networking, storage, security, identity, and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Design multi-account AWS organizations, landing zones, network topologies, governance guardrails, and cost-efficient infrastructure for regulated environments.
- Build and maintain production Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi with TypeScript or Python, using AWS CDK when appropriate.
- Prototype cloud infrastructure end-to-end, contribute to IaC repositories, review pull requests, and ensure delivered systems match approved architecture.
- Produce architecture diagrams, IaC repositories, runbooks, security and compliance documentation, and acceptance criteria.
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to cloud and infrastructure architects, and contribute to cloud strategy, roadmaps, standards, guilds, and working groups.
- Partner with engineering teams, business stakeholders, security, and architecture leadership to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in cloud architecture or cloud engineering, with recent experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale AWS solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise AWS platforms, including multi-account strategies, cloud governance, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Expert knowledge of AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, S3, EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, KMS, Service Control Policies, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Strong proficiency with Pulumi, TypeScript or Python, AWS CDK, Git-based workflows, modular architecture, state management, policy-as-code, Checkov, OPA, and drift detection.
- Knowledge of cloud governance, security, compliance, cloud migration, platform modernization, enterprise architecture, and regulated frameworks such as HIPAA and SOC 2.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor architects and engineers, communicate architecture guidance, and collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare or regulated industries, embedded architecture or product delivery, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification, AI/ML infrastructure, FinOps, healthcare data platforms, HL7, FHIR, Epic, SageMaker, Bedrock, and OpenSearch.
