Responsibilities

Develop and improve machine learning models and infrastructure with the ML team.
Monitor and evaluate model performance in the real world.
Contribute to the design and development of Persona’s ML software stack.
Support applications in manipulation, navigation, locomotion, and perception.

Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
Experience using cloud computing for model development and data management, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of robot-learning research, including behavior cloning, reinforcement learning for manipulation, and world models.
Understanding of the challenges involved in deploying neural-network models in the real world.
Ability to write high-quality software.
Courage, grit, collaboration, strong first-principles thinking, and comfort working in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
Preferred: Master’s or PhD in computer science, robotics, machine learning, or a related field.
Preferred: Published papers at top ML or robotics conferences such as ICML, ICRA, CoRL, RSS, or NeurIPS.

Fall 2026 internship runs August–December or Spring 2027 internship runs January–May.
Onsite position in Houston, Texas.
