Base Salary
$139k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural strategy, design reviews, code reviews, and technical delivery for large-scale Agile, Plan of Record, and Next Gen Architecture projects.
- Provide architectural guidance, design principles, best practices, and design patterns to software development teams.
- Drive Java microservices development and reviews, including decisions involving scalability, performance, resource usage, and long-term technology strategy.
- Assess, communicate, track, and mitigate technical, business, delivery, and schedule risks across cross-functional efforts.
- Partner with TPMs, engineering managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve dependencies, remove blockers, and make trade-off decisions.
- Mentor and coach software development engineers and influence engineering practices beyond the immediate team.
- Publish metrics and guidance concerning design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD, and design-pattern adoption.
- Apply software development lifecycle best practices and support compliance, risk management, and control requirements.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of software engineering experience focused on application development or enterprise architecture at a senior or lead level.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot with hands-on experience building and delivering production-grade microservices architectures.
- Experience designing distributed systems with strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, networking, and system scalability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), and content delivery technologies such as Akamai.
- Ability to automate code quality, performance testing, and build processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical discipline.
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline is preferred.
- Experience with Angular or React and exposure to artificial intelligence concepts are beneficial.
