Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and enhance Roku streaming applications and application components.
- Develop and customize Roku user interface components using Scene Graph.
- Integrate player, analytics, advertising, Roku, and third-party services and APIs.
- Debug applications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance on Roku devices.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to technical decisions, and provide technical solutions.
- Monitor project progress and support timely delivery, release, deployment, and channel publishing.
Requirements
- JavaScript experience is required.
- At least three years of experience is required; the posting also cites 4–7 years of video streaming application development experience and at least 7.5 years of relevant Roku development experience.
- Experience developing Roku applications with BrightScript, Scene Graph, XML, Roku APIs, and Roku debugging tools.
- Experience integrating player, analytics, and advertising SDKs and consuming JSON-based services.
- Knowledge of HLS, DASH, DRM, video encoding, streaming formats, IAP, and billing testing.
- Experience with Roku channel certification, publishing, release, deployment, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education is required.
