Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, customize, and enhance Roku streaming applications and UI components.
- Use BrightScript, Scene Graph, XML, Roku APIs, and debugging tools to build and troubleshoot applications.
- Integrate player, analytics, advertising, and other third-party SDKs and consume RESTful services and JSON.
- Optimize application performance and usability on Roku devices.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to technical decisions, provide technical guidance, and resolve cross-team challenges.
- Monitor project progress and support timely delivery, certification, release, and deployment of application features.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of relevant Roku development experience is required.
- At least 4 to 7 years of experience developing video streaming applications for Roku is stated in the technical requirements.
- At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on BrightScript and Scene Graph application development experience is required.
- JavaScript is required; Jakarta EE is preferred.
- Experience with Roku debugging tools, Scene Graph principles, Roku APIs, UI customization, performance optimization, and Roku application development is required.
- Experience with player, analytics, advertising SDKs, RESTful services, JSON, HTML, CSS, HLS, DASH, DRM, in-app purchases, billing testing, and Roku certification and publishing procedures is preferred or required as described.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills are expected.
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education is required.
