Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites across unit, integration, API, end-to-end, regression, contract, and performance testing layers.
  • Build and evolve internal test automation frameworks, libraries, and shared utilities for the engineering organization.
  • Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions pipelines to support fast feedback and frequent production deployments.
  • Introduce and expand contract testing between services.
  • Use Sentry, Grafana, and ELK observability data to improve test coverage and quality signals.
  • Develop and execute performance, load, and stress tests with k6.
  • Define test strategies with developers and product managers, identify risks, and recommend appropriate testing approaches.
  • Analyze test failures and production incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with the security team on testing sensitive and regulated flows.
  • Apply and experiment with AI-assisted tools for test generation, exploratory testing, and test data.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a Senior Developer in Test, Senior Engineer in Test, or Senior SDET.
  • Strong coding skills in at least one of Golang, Python, Ruby/Rails, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and documented code.
  • Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using tools such as Playwright.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs with Bruno, Postman, or similar tools.
  • Experience with contract testing between services using Pact or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms and automated test integration into build pipelines.
  • Experience using AI-assisted testing tools or genuine willingness to learn and experiment with them.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing flaky tests, race conditions, and complex integration issues.
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to take ownership of delivered solutions, including shipping, monitoring, and fixing them.
  • Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in an agile environment.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
