Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI and robotics projects, including scope, milestones, resourcing, risks, acceptance criteria, and committed deliverables.
- Translate business and operational problems into technical workstreams with measurable success metrics.
- Manage backlog priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs among scope, quality, and timeline.
- Advise clients and internal stakeholders on AI, computer vision, autonomous inspection, feasibility, solution options, and field-deployment constraints.
- Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops, solution walkthroughs, stakeholder presentations, and adoption planning.
- Support business development through technical scoping, proposal input, effort estimation, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Align engineering, data, product, operations, and technical functions around delivery plans.
- Manage vendor, partner, and academic collaborations, including statements of work and deliverable acceptance.
- Provide technical direction for sensor fusion, SLAM, defect and anomaly detection, and structural-inspection image recognition.
- Review architecture and code, validate model performance and evaluation methods, and ensure production readiness on Microsoft Azure or an equivalent platform.
- Apply MLOps, CI/CD, security, and data-governance standards across projects.
- Participate in dashboard development and visualization engineering, prototype new capabilities, and raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- Senior hands-on depth in robotics perception, computer vision, and cloud AI.
- Experience directing technical decisions and evaluating design choices for AI and robotics solutions.
- Ability to communicate credibly with clients, class surveyors, engineering leadership, and technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with sensor fusion using cameras and LiDAR, SLAM, defect and anomaly detection, and image recognition for structural inspection.
- Ability to review architecture and code, validate model performance and evaluation methodology, and guide production deployments.
- Ability to manage cross-functional delivery, technical risks, vendors, partners, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to support technical scoping, effort estimation, proof-of-concept development, change management, training, documentation, and handover.
