Responsibilities
- Define and own the People Technology API strategy and API-first architecture.
- Own end-to-end solution architecture and technical roadmaps for the Workday platform.
- Design reusable, secure, resilient, and scalable integrations between Workday and enterprise platforms using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Lead complex inbound, outbound, real-time, event-driven, hybrid, and batch integration designs and implementations.
- Define architecture standards, API lifecycle governance, security, versioning, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Cloud Connect, Workday APIs, RaaS, calculated fields, business processes, and Workday security.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical assurance activities, solution design workshops, and technical governance.
- Translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions and influence senior stakeholders on technology direction and investment.
- Collaborate with HR, technology, business stakeholders, vendors, implementation partners, and product teams.
- Mentor engineering and multidisciplinary delivery teams and support high-quality integration delivery.
- Drive adoption of Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Workday AI, Self-Service Agents, agentic AI capabilities, MCP, and enterprise AI integration frameworks.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience designing and implementing Workday integrations.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and implementing MuleSoft integrations.
- Deep hands-on experience developing and architecting Workday integrations.
- Expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Enterprise Interface Builder, Cloud Connect, Workday REST and SOAP APIs, Report-as-a-Service, and Workday security.
- Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Experience defining API strategies, implementing API-first architectures, and designing secure RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, authentication, security, data modelling, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Experience integrating Workday with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and third-party SaaS solutions.
- Experience leading architecture reviews, technical governance, and solution design workshops.
- Workday Pro certifications.
- Preferred experience with Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Workday AI, Self-Service Agents, MCP, enterprise AI platforms, AI agent frameworks, event streaming technologies, Azure Integration Services, or AWS integration services.
- Preferred TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification and MuleSoft Certified Developer or Architect certification.
