Responsibilities
- Own major AI features and intelligent agents end to end, from specification through shipping and measurement.
- Implement LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, data models, and prompt management systems.
- Make pragmatic AI architecture decisions with high autonomy and iterate quickly using feedback from internal operations teams.
- Build automation for complex internal tax operations and intelligent experiences for customers.
- Influence AI, cloud, product, and LLM integration technology choices.
- Optionally hire and mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong recent focus on applied generative AI.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini; agentic frameworks; and robust RAG pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python and willingness to work across the stack.
- Understanding of vector databases such as pgvector and Pinecone, plus familiarity with AWS or GCP and Docker.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and German at a minimum C1 level.
- Valid work permit to work in Germany.
