Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, testable, and performant software features across all application layers.
- Create automated unit, integration, acceptance, performance, security, and regression tests and coach peers on testing practices.
- Design data storage, access, integration, infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and data migration strategies.
- Improve system operations through monitoring, logging, metrics, reporting, build pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Apply secure coding, threat modeling, security safeguards, and appropriate protection of sensitive healthcare information.
- Build user-facing functionality, reusable interaction patterns, and implementations aligned with design goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, write technical specifications, make feature and architecture decisions, lead significant initiatives, and mentor peers.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or IT, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with at least one server-side programming language; Java and Spring Boot are preferred.
- Experience with at least one client-side programming language; JavaScript and React are preferred.
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting services and microservices.
- Experience with cloud services, infrastructure-as-code practices, relational and non-relational databases, and messaging systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes and AWS is preferred.
- Ability to influence team decisions, mentor peers, drive innovation, collaborate with business stakeholders, and propose product features.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%.
