Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain secure, scalable Python backend services and APIs.
- Deliver production-quality code using version control, automated testing, code review, CI/CD, and technical documentation.
- Integrate internal platforms, data sources, and third-party APIs with appropriate authentication, authorization, resilience, and error management.
- Build and support AI-enabled features using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt workflows, and agentic patterns.
- Implement AI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and human oversight for reliable and responsible solutions.
- Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and operational incidents using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering teams to turn requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, estimation, and delivery of agreed outcomes.
- Apply relevant engineering, AI, and security practices to day-to-day development.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Python experience building backend applications, services, and APIs.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django; pytest; dependency and package management; and asynchronous programming where relevant.
- Frontend development experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern UI or component libraries.
- Experience building full-stack applications or collaborating with frontend engineers on API contracts and user journeys.
- Understanding of clean code, object-oriented or functional design, testing, debugging, API design, and source control.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, efficient queries, and data modeling.
- Practical experience building or integrating generative AI solutions using LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks.
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector stores, prompt design, agent workflows, model evaluation, and AI safety or guardrails.
- Experience with cloud-hosted applications, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Awareness of secure development practices including secrets management, access control, data protection, and dependency security.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with observability tooling such as application logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing is preferred.
- Experience in regulated, enterprise-scale, or security-conscious environments is preferred.
- Candidates must be based in Poland.
