Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient video streaming pipelines using state-of-the-art techniques for high-priority real-time data.
- Build offline streaming simulation and emulation frameworks to iterate on algorithms and predict online performance.
- Test streaming systems in real-world environments, gather feedback, and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect on-road network metrics.
- Develop core communication systems and cloud platform capabilities connecting autonomous vehicles and remote operators.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, or a BS/MS in Computer Science or a closely related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Go.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, socket programming, congestion control, and related networking concepts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Preferred experience with network simulation, including Network Simulator 3; real-road LTE network metric collection; WebRTC; VP8, VP9, H.264, or H.265 codecs; and GPU programming.
