Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for UI and Backend components.
- Perform UI testing across web and mobile platforms, including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Conduct Backend testing, including API validation and data integrity checks.
- Lead structured exploratory testing sessions to uncover edge cases and high-risk defects.
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability.
- Apply risk-based testing principles to prioritize critical functionality.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify requirement gaps.
- Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Participate in test planning and estimation discussions.
- Maintain documentation of test progress and coverage metrics.
- Take ownership of quality for assigned product areas.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.
- Support efforts to increase automated test coverage.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and risk-based testing.
- Proven ability to review user stories and improve testability.
- Ability to write clear test plans and document defects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ownership mindset to manage quality and contribute to QA improvements.
- Ability to mentor junior QA team members.
- Foundational understanding of test automation concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent QA experience.
