Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
- Build, optimize, and maintain infrastructure deployment pipelines while establishing DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes environments across EKS, AKS, and GKE.
- Implement platform engineering tools and internal developer portals to provide self-service capabilities.
- Define and enforce monitoring, alerting, and observability standards for infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to complex technical decisions, cloud technology evaluation, standardization, and platform risk reduction.
- Collaborate across development, operations, security, and FinOps teams to improve engineering practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain documentation to support knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience designing and administering complex platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- At least 2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with AWX, Ansible Tower, Terragrunt, and scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Strong knowledge of security practices including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance.
- At least 2 years of Kubernetes administration experience across on-premises and cloud environments, with EKS preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes networking, RBAC, pod security, Istio, and Docker image management.
- Experience implementing developer portals, artifact repositories, API gateways, and self-service platform engineering tools.
- Hands-on experience with Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, alerting standards, and infrastructure reliability at scale.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, traffic management, microservices architecture, and Layer 2/3 and MPLS protocols.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, along with the ability to work autonomously and contribute to engineering standards.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively across teams.
