Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems primarily using Go.
- Design and implement secure connectivity solutions involving service registration, orchestration, routing, and proxy or relay communication.
- Own technical initiatives end-to-end through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Build and improve cloud-native services across AWS and GCP for scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to platform frontend applications using TypeScript and React when needed.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues across application code, cloud infrastructure, networking, and distributed services.
- Improve automated testing, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions while mentoring engineers.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and engineering teams.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, troubleshoot production issues, and prevent recurring problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong backend development experience with Go or a comparable backend language, with the ability to become productive in Go.
- Experience designing, building, and operating production services using REST APIs and distributed system architectures.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating cloud-native applications in AWS or GCP.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including HTTP/TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, and service-to-service communication.
- Experience designing systems for scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and failure recovery.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues across application code, infrastructure, and multiple services.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to drive technical decisions independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, cloud networking, event-driven architectures, Kafka, Redis, Pub/Sub, Datadog, authentication, certificates, secrets management, encryption, cloud platform services, multi-cloud environments, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, or enterprise security requirements.
