Responsibilities
- Set technical direction, establish coding frameworks, and develop scalable full-stack software.
- Coach and mentor engineers across all levels while fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
- Lead Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Product Owners to drive work from refinement through production readiness.
- Design and deliver microservices, event-driven architectures, and containerised applications in cloud environments.
- Partner with System and QA Engineers on CI/CD automation, testing, and deployments using technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Introduce modern engineering tooling, guide AI-assisted development practices, and participate in the Engineering Community of Practice.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Lead Engineer guiding teams delivering cloud-based applications.
- Deep hands-on experience with C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure, plus modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, RESTful APIs, and messaging protocols.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
- Daily familiarity with AI coding tools and the ability to critique, correct, govern, and guide teams in using AI-generated output.
- Deep familiarity with Scrum and Lean practices and experience driving work items to production readiness.
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder-communication skills.
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Formal Scrum certification, CPaaS or high-throughput messaging experience, Terraform or Bicep skills, and ASP.NET Core or modern Azure Kubernetes deployment experience are desirable.
