Base Salary

$224k - $357k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and triage platform drivers for SOC products.
  • Build automation tools for firmware and operating-system driver triage and issue packetization.
  • Support OS driver development, platform and multimedia driver bring-up, boot KPIs, security, and system software.
  • Support OEM ecosystems and provide innovative platform solutions.
  • Follow devices from pre-silicon through bring-up and production across multiple product verticals.
  • Contribute to architecture definition, early modeling, and simulation.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams and partners.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of meaningful software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of ARM microarchitecture and ARM exception levels.
  • Experience solving problems in large, complex systems deployed at scale.
  • Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills, including independent coding projects.
  • Understanding of ACPI, Device Tree, computer system architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.
  • Strong operating systems fundamentals with kernel and hypervisor experience on Windows and Linux.
  • Hands-on experience with GDB and WinDBG, and compilers such as GCC, MSVC, and LLVM.
  • Understanding of SOC architecture spanning boot, security, and operating systems.
  • System-level debugging experience, reliability and resiliency features, system-level security concepts, and embedded software experience are valuable.
