Responsibilities
- Design, ship, and own billing infrastructure and usage APIs.
- Use AI coding agents as part of your daily workflow.
- Transform ambiguous problems into well-defined technical plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and business systems.
- Develop design and architecture documents for new systems and APIs.
- Evolve tools and pipelines for billing and usage reporting.
- Ensure stability, performance, and scalability in your designs.
- Mentor and grow other engineers through code review and technical leadership.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience designing and operating highly available data pipelines and distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience building systems that handle large datasets.
- Proven track record of driving projects from design to post-launch.
- Experience with relational and non-relational storage systems.
- Familiarity with pub/sub style message queues.
- Comfortable using coding agents in daily work.
