Responsibilities
- Own and evolve system architecture across the platform for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to design systems balancing delivery speed with long-term flexibility.
- Lead high-impact technical decisions involving performance, cost, and complexity trade-offs.
- Translate ambiguous business or product needs into clear technical approaches and system designs.
- Identify architectural gaps, technical debt, and scaling bottlenecks and drive proactive solutions.
- Serve as a technical mentor and thought partner across teams.
- Evaluate and apply AI tools, frameworks, and workflows to improve the product and internal development velocity.
- Help the organization adopt AI-first software development practices and product capabilities.
Requirements
- 20+ years of software engineering experience with deep system design and architecture expertise.
- Proven experience designing and evolving distributed or scalable systems.
- Broad AWS cloud architecture experience, including complex data plane and control plane systems.
- Experience with data pipelines, highly scalable systems, and cloud-native architectures and services.
- Ability to work deeply technically while influencing broadly across teams.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex systems clearly.
- Cybersecurity experience is a bonus.
