Base Salary
$190k - $337k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the architecture for the robot software stack.
- Take ownership of core frameworks and services essential for robot features.
- Drive performance and reliability improvements across the software stack.
- Lead the strategy for internal developer tooling and debugging utilities.
- Mentor Senior and Staff-level engineers on system design and best practices.
- Collaborate with AI, Controls, and Perception teams to meet performance needs.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in high-performance, real-time, or embedded software engineering.
- Expertise in defining large-scale software architectures and ownership of critical frameworks.
- Mastery of modern C++ and proficiency in systems programming on Linux.
- Experience in designing low-latency, reliable distributed systems.
- Proven mentoring experience for Staff and Principal-level engineers.
- Ability to gather complex requirements and communicate technical trade-offs.
