Responsibilities
- Architect new automated test strategies and frameworks for web, mobile, and application portfolios.
- Develop, debug, maintain, and execute automated test plans, test cases, and end-to-end integration tests.
- Perform functional, system, regression, unit, integration, coverage, performance, load, and manual testing as needed.
- Test interfaces among systems and applications through web services, Tibco services, and RESTful APIs.
- Review product specifications and lead test strategy, test plan, test architecture, and requirements reviews.
- Track, prioritize, document, and report defects and testing metrics throughout product releases.
- Coordinate user-acceptance testing and collaborate with software developers, Software Test Engineers, Agile teams, and IT teams.
- Coach and mentor Software Test Engineers and evaluate tools and technologies for test automation.
- Ensure test-case traceability to project requirements and verify that applications meet functional requirements.
Requirements
- Requires 2–4 years of software test experience with test automation focused on web, mobile, database, or web services.
- Experience with software automation testing methodologies including regression, functional, unit, integration, coverage, performance, and load testing.
- Experience testing applications that integrate with other systems through RESTful APIs.
- Experience with test management tools such as qTest, ALM, TFS, or similar tools.
- Experience with API testing frameworks such as Karate, Gatling, JMeter, or Postman, plus some load and performance testing experience.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services such as Amazon AWS, Azure, Heroku, Perfecto Mobile, and SauceLabs.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments using tools such as Rally, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
- Advanced understanding of open-source web frameworks and web application testing tools.
- Experience reviewing and providing feedback to team members during pull requests.
- Strong critical-thinking, written, verbal, programming, and test-automation skills.
