Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deliver, retrain, maintain, and monitor machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data and feature selection, training, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams and cross-functional Agile teams to build big data and ML applications.
- Build cloud-based architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct and scale data pipelines for training, evaluating, and feeding ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, monitoring, deployment strategies, and incident-response practices.
- Maintain well-managed code, model governance, and Responsible and Explainable AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray to prepare AI/ML data.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for large-scale containerized ML systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or doctoral degree, 3+ years optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, 3+ years applying software development and resilient production practices, 3+ years working with ML techniques and architectures, 3+ years building production data pipelines, and 1+ year as a technical lead developing ML solutions.
- Preferred candidates may have authored or co-authored a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept.
