Responsibilities
- Lead engagements from business process consulting and problem definition through solution design, development, deployment, and production support.
- Design, modernize, and support business-critical applications, including migration of legacy desktop solutions to scalable web or cloud platforms.
- Provide architecture governance, code quality oversight, technical direction, delivery accountability, and leadership for senior engineering teams.
- Design and support deployments on OpenShift or comparable cloud/container platforms, including production support and business-continuity ownership.
- Conduct requirements discovery, solution design, stakeholder management, architecture reviews, client training, and executive-level communication.
- Automate complex engineering or operational workflows and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cycle time.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, customer-services, engineering, and supplier stakeholders.
- Support release management, incident resolution, structured user-support models, and critical account recovery or production stabilization initiatives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in solution architecture and software development, preferably in aerospace, defence, or other mission-critical engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in .NET, C#, SQL Server, web application architecture, APIs, and enterprise application integration.
- Experience designing, modernizing, and supporting business-critical applications and migrating legacy desktop solutions to web or cloud platforms.
- Experience with OpenShift or comparable cloud/container platforms, including deployment, production support, and business-continuity ownership.
- Ability to lead senior engineering teams and provide architecture governance, code quality oversight, technical direction, and delivery accountability.
- Strong client-facing consulting, requirements discovery, stakeholder management, architecture review, and executive communication skills.
- Experience automating complex engineering or operational workflows and improving efficiency, quality, and cycle time.
- Working knowledge of IIS, source control, release management, incident resolution, and structured user-support models.
- Preferred experience in aerospace repair, customer-services, high-lift, wing, airframe engineering, structural repair workflows, engineering analysis tools, supplier collaboration, and globally deployed repair-management platforms.
- Preferred knowledge of AI-assisted development, large-language-model integration, OpenCV-based computer vision, and automated extraction of structured data from images or PDFs.
- Preferred experience with VBA, JavaScript, Google Apps Script, HTML, CSS, XML, MySQL, Umbraco, and Google Workspace.
- Understanding of export-control compliance, secure data classification, vulnerability reporting, software assurance, critical account recovery, production stabilization, global rollouts, and zero-downtime continuity.
