Responsibilities
- Design, build, run, and evolve internal platforms, infrastructure, templates, and developer capabilities.
- Manage and maintain the AWS-based Kubernetes Platform as a Service environment.
- Maintain reliable, secure, and scalable underlying infrastructure.
- Create self-service automation and standardized tooling for deploying and running applications.
- Write code to automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes using Python or Go.
- Collaborate with customer-facing product engineers to improve delivery velocity, safety, and engineering efficiency.
- Contribute to cross-group engineering activities, stakeholder communication, and platform evolution.
Requirements
- Experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Systems Engineer in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or Amazon EKS, including cluster management, monitoring, autoscaling, and networking.
- Programming experience in Golang or Python.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices including AWS CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, GitOps, or Argo CD.
- Understanding of DevOps and SRE practices including logging, monitoring, and security.
- Familiarity with the Full Cycle engineering model and designing, developing, deploying, and running high-quality software and platforms.
- Ability to communicate with and positively influence varied stakeholder groups, including senior executives.
