Principal Software Engineer - Authorization Platform

Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and execute software development lifecycle tasks.
- Work with business stakeholders to iterate on software requirements.
- Design and develop clean, efficient tools, applications, and features from the ground up.
- Automate tasks using appropriate tools and scripting.
- Analyze, debug, validate, and verify systems using a test-driven approach.
- Review other engineers’ work and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Keep software current with the latest technologies.
- Encourage and optimize technical excellence across the Scrum team while mentoring team members and delivering business and technical objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science or a related degree.
- Experience writing clean, scalable Java code and experience with UI development and React frameworks.
- Experience with Spring Boot, relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, and RESTful API endpoints.
- Working knowledge of test-driven development and automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and RestAssured.
- Proficiency with Git and experience using system and performance monitoring tools such as New Relic and DataDog.
- Proven software engineering experience with strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, critical-thinking, personal leadership, collaboration, and self-direction skills.
- Generative AI Code Assistant experience, including GitHub Copilot, and knowledge of current generative AI model capabilities are assets.
- Preferred experience includes Selenium automation, cloud technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Ansible, Jenkins, Linux, IP networking, AWS, Azure, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SaaS products, service-oriented architecture, Python, Bash, Groovy, production on-call support, and professional mentoring.
