Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic.
- Implement data access layers, Redis caching, and integrations with internal and external services.
- Build data-processing scripts and pipelines using SQL databases, Redis, Azure storage, Databricks, analytics engines, and AI services.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-transformation logic.
- Assist with asynchronous task processing using Celery and message brokers.
- Build basic AI agents and AI-augmented automation for backend and data workflows.
- Use AI-powered development tools across coding, testing, and documentation.
- Debug and resolve production issues with guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Progressively take ownership of features and components while participating in knowledge sharing and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrable Python development skills.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or another Python web framework, with FastAPI preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
- Understanding of RESTful API design, Pydantic data models, and HTTP protocols.
- Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud-platform and deployment concepts.
- Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Cursor AI or GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to build basic AI agents or AI-augmented automation for backend and data workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, code-quality, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles.
